How it works

From booking to your certificate

Every ILA follows the same steps. This page explains what happens from the moment you book to the moment we issue your certificate, and what we need from you along the way.

  1. Choose the advice you need

    Use the fee tool below to see the fixed fee for your ILA. The fee is per person, not per appointment. If two of you need advice, for example a husband and wife who are both signing, each of you needs your own ILA and the fee usually applies to each of you, so the total for two people is usually double the figure shown. You can contact us for a bespoke quote covering everyone.

  2. Book a provisional appointment

    Choose a time that suits you in the tool below, or on the booking page. No payment is taken when you book, and the appointment is provisional at this stage.

  3. Send us the loan documents

    Email info@samedayila.co.uk with the contact details of the borrower’s solicitor and a copy of the full set of loan documents.

  4. We check what you send

    When your documents arrive we review them and contact you for any missing information or documents.

  5. Onboarding and ID checks

    We then begin onboarding. As part of this we verify your identity, either by obtaining your completed ID checks from the borrower’s solicitor or by carrying out our own checks for an additional fee of £25 + VAT.

  6. Payment on account

    Before the appointment is confirmed we ask for full payment on account of our fee, plus the ID check fee where it applies.

  7. Your appointment is confirmed

    Once onboarding, payment on account and ID checks are complete, we confirm your video appointment.

  8. The video appointment

    You meet your solicitor by video. We go through the loan documents with you and explain the obligations, the risks and what signing means for you.

  9. Written advice and your certificate

    After the appointment we send you our written advice and ask for your authority to issue the ILA certificate. Once you confirm, we provide the signed certificate the lender needs.

Work out your fee and book

Fees are fixed and confirmed in writing before your appointment. Choose the advice you need, and the loan or facility amount where it applies, to see your fee and choose a time. All figures include VAT.
